The larger, more powerful, stationary cousin of the EMP grenade, the II-14 EMP Mine utilizes the same electromagnetic pulse methodology to fully immobilize nearby machinery in almost all situations.
Besides giving a nice and satisfying buzzing sound and light show when a vehicle gets too close to one, it completely shuts it down. Tanks and battle walkers will be sitting ducks if they hit one of these. This gives you the chance to plant some explosive mines, find and shoot at the vehicle's weak spot, gives a Recon player a window to plant some RDX, or simply buys you enough time to run and hide. If you have the Pilum H-AVR this could lead to a one shot kill. Be careful where you put them, as they also disable friendly vehicles (although they won't inflict any damage). If placed in a narrow passage, it's guaranteed to disable any vehicle traveling through it. The driver or passengers may spot it, in which case they'll take another route, but in either case it's going to hinder them considerably. It only takes one EMP mine to disable even the mighty battle walker, so placing two or more next to each other is pretty pointless; spread them out for maximum effectiveness.
