One of the three Game Modes. The others are Conquest and Assault Lines.

This game mode is new to the Battlefield series and pretty new over all in the genre.

Basics

Each team has one titan ship (MK-1 TITAN for the European Union, Type 2 Titan for the Pan Asian Coalition), that's basically a floating fortress, or battleship. These ships are huge, can move around by the commander of each team, and act as a repair/re-arm station as well as a spawn point for gunships.

Both sides must protect their Titan, while attempting to attack and destroy their enemy's. This is achieved by capturing and holding missile silos. Each silo will then launch missiles at the enemy Titan every two minutes and slowly reduce its shields (unless neutralized and captured by the enemy).

Once a Titan's shields are reduced to zero it can be boarded by enemy soldiers. The soldiers will then attempt to access the Titan's reactor core and critically damage it.

Once this happens all on board have limited time to escape the Titan before the chain reaction causes it to detonate. However, if the enemy has too strong a defence of their Titan, your team may also continue to hold missile silos to pound against the enemy Titan's hull, which will also cause the same result.

If a soldier is on board an enemy Titan when it detonates (or has just boarded the Titan long enough to trigger the minimap to change to the Titan's interior) they are eligible to receive the Titan Survival Pin. In order to receive the pin, a soldier must make it safely to the ground before the explosion cinematic occurs. The best method to do this, is to run off the Titan and skydive all the way to the ground, activating the parachute just before hitting the ground.

Detailed description of gamemode

Each titan is protected by a shield. That shield can be removed by shooting at it with various weapons, but it takes a very long time to wear it down. The shield has to be taken down first, before the next step can be taken.

A faster way to destroy the shield is to secure as many of the missile silos deployed across the battlefield as possible. Capturing one takes only a very short time, the more players within capture radius the faster it turns.

Once secured (similar to capturing a control point in Conquest mode) a timer runs down and every 2 minutes, a BLOC-3 ATM (Anti-titan missile) will be launched against the enemy titan. On impact it will do substantial damage to the Titan's shields. So the first stage of the battle will be capturing silos, retake them from enemies and make sure your team launches more missiles then the enemy does.

Once the shield falls, there are two courses of action that can be taken. The first is to continue taking and holding silos. The missiles will continue to damage the Titan hull after the shield has dropped, eventually destroying the Titan. There is, however, a faster (and much more fun) way to destroy the Titan; board it and blow up the reactor core.

There are two ways to get onto the Titan; either fly to it using an aircraft, or launch yourself from an APC in an assault pod. You can also use your own Titan's launch pods if it is close enough. The latter method is generally the safer and more effective, since the Titan's guns almost always manage to shoot down incoming aircraft. If you can land an air transport vehicle on the Titan, however, members of your team will be able to spawn inside of in, effectively giving you a spawn point on their Titan. A squad leader can also put a beacon down on the roof or simply camp there so that the rest of his squad can spawn on it.

Inside, there are 4 security consoles to destroy. Each console has to be taken out. This can be done using any type of weapon but is much faster if someone on your team has RDX. After the 4 consoles are destroyed your team will be able to access the Titan's reactor. This is the last goal, destroy the reactor and escape from the Titan before it explodes.

If you escape the Titan before the reactor explodes, you will receive the Titan Survival pin.

Interface

In the top bar you see the shield status of both titans. The outline around the Titan icon represents the shield, when the outline is gone, the shield is gone.
After the shields are down, the shield bar will change and will display 4 numbers. One for each of the 4 consoles that need to be destroyed to gain access to the reactor core.

Below it you see the status of each missile silo. You see who owns which one and by holding the 'T' button will show the countdown for the missile launch on each. Each countdown starts at two full minutes and then counts down to zero.
